Eight year old Joel came to live with us one and a half years ago. He had been experiencing problems in school, because his grandmother was unable to give him the help he needed. Because of this Joel fell behind in school and it would have meant he had to redo the school year ago. This is why it was decided to have him live at the house, where there is more structure and where the other kids are doing their homework on set times as well. He has managed to overcome the problems he was facing before and he picked up on reading. He is nog performing well in school! He is a nice and serious little boy, who is eager to learn new skills. Joel is a sweet and very social boy who loves helping out with chores in the house.
