Eight year old Ekema came to live with us in September 2010. Christel has known him for years already and since his mother left him with his two aunts when he was only six months, she hasn't been back for him. When one of the aunts died in August, we decided to offer Ekema a home in Bokova. Ekema is enjoying the personal attention and when people come to visit the house, he is always right next to them. When he came he spoke pidgin mostly, but soon he picked up on English and therefore he is now picking up in school as well.
